S’TILE, A NEW CONCEPT OF SOLAR CELL AT LOW CURRENT FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE AND LOW COST MODULES
S’Tile, Spin-off of the CNRS, based in Poitiers, has invented an innovative technology for manufacturing photovoltaic solar cells: The integrated cell (i-Cell). The cells of S’Tile have the advantage of integrating into solar modules with a significantly reduced production costs compared to the competition, high conversion efficiency and high compactness. These features are advantageous in applications that require maximum power production in a constraint surface.
After finishing the installation of the production line of solar cells and solar modules, S’Tile has started marketing these products:
- Modules dedicated to specific applications (Linea 25-100W), designed for autonomous systems such as battery charging for the European and African market.
- Large photovoltaic modules of 60 or 72 cells (Linea 270-360W), mainly for the market of small and medium PV plants.
